I miss Blogging
I cannot believe I let so much time go without blogging. Â I’ve been traveling a lot. Â I’ll be updating you over the next couple of days.
These images are from my trip to San Francisco in January. Â My husband had to be there for business and so he invited me to keep him company. Â It also allowed us to celebrate his birthday, Â a very special milestone. Â We got to see San Francisco under very grey cloudy skies, it drizzled most of the time but not enough to ruin the trip. Â It was my first visit to the San Fran and it is a terrific city. Â We stayed in Nob Hill and got to use the cable cars and walked a lot. Â We also made it up to Napa Valley and visited the Hagafen vineyards.
All these were taken by my new handy pocket camera – I don’t like to be burdened by heavy equipment when traveling for pleasure.

At the San Francisco, MOMA. Â This is from a brochure the Red Cross Arts & Skill Program.
“Please solve me”, I love this… I’m a work in progress myself 🙂
Seeing the whole ‘picture’.
I go to museums for inspiration, this is by Beatriz Milhaze, a colorful Brazilian artist.
I truly wish I knew who did this, I usually take a snapshot of the artist info and I didn’t. Â This is 2 photographs woven together, creating this gorgeous, complicated montage.
It rained most of the time.
Fun Studio Sessions
In this post I am featuring repeat kids – each of these adorable kids have been photographed by me before. Â All of them before they were 1 month.
UPDATE: The Big Giveaway was a great success. Â There were a lot of very worthy submissions, some were heart retching and others were heart warming. Â I’m looking forward to the session and to next year’s big giveaway.
The Big Giveaway Part II
Last year I gave away a free session to someone that was nominated by YOU. Â I’m doing it again. Â I need your help!
I want to give a gift to someone YOU know.
You know someone that could really use custom portraits but wouldn’t or couldn’t do it on their own. Â Is it your child’s teacher that goes above and beyond, a neighbor that is overwhelmed or depressed, a friend that is always there for everyone else and it’s time they got a break? Â Let me know about it by nominating them.
The best part? Â If your nomination wins you will get a free session and an 11×14 print.
The RULES:
-Send your nomination to dini@dinigroner.com.
-You cannot nominate yourself.
-The winner must be able to come to Rockland County for the session.
-The deadline is 12/31/09 at midnight.
It’s that simple.
Winner will be announced January 15th, 2010.
HINT: Last year I received many worthy nominations. Â When it came time to choosing a well written ‘story’ or ‘essay’ helped the decision. Â In other words, a 2 line submission saying “Sara is a great friend to everyone and would love photos” doesn’t carry as much weight at “Sara was there when my newborn was sick and she brought dinner to us for 2 weeks. Â I don’t know what I would have done without her, etc…”.
