I can’t help myself.
What better way to start the year than a blue eyed cutie with unnaturally long lashes?
Tick. Tock.
I most definitely enjoyed the extra hour of sleep that came with the changing of the clock this week.
Am I the only one or does the daily grind seem to fall pretty heavily this time of year?
Maybe its just the early nightfall. Either way, it just makes me look forward to snapping photos of newborns. They have such a serene aura to them. It emanates and gives the atmosphere a peaceful hum to it. You can sense it just by looking at the photos…
I love the fresh look of white on white when it comes to kids portraits.
But a splash of color is always great!

I love that gleeful, joyful look that almost 3 years olds get when they are HAPPY 🙂
Daniel
The last time I last photographed Tali she was a 1 year old pouting baby, it was very ‘her’ at that time.
Fast forward a couple of years and now she is just hamming it up.
Jomy was always the charmer, at 8 months, at 4 years and again at 5 years.
With his bright eyes and dazzling smile he is a total charmer.

Just sharing one from that session. The Petite Session took place in Nyack in a wonderful natural light studio.
What’s a natural light studio?
No bright flashes and no backgrounds – just amazing, gorgeous light streaming in from large windows and doors. It’s my favorite studio lighting and now you can see why. The studio is ideal for large groups and for kids that just don’t like confined spaces (just about every kid I know).
Now you don’t have to wait for the summer to get a natural look.
I got an email from Ella’s mom after the photo session. Mom asked Ella her favorite part of the session. Ella said in all seriousness “that lady told me… I’m a princess. SHE knows Ella is a princess.”
