My Travels – Paris 2011

Globe trotting.  That’s my other passion.

My Mom was born in Paris and lived there until she married my Dad and moved to New York.  I had been there first when I was 16 years old for the summer.  What a great experience it was!

My cousin was getting married in Paris and it was the perfect excuse to plan a visit.  So my Mom, my daughter and I went to Paris.  We got to visit all the sites – the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Pompidou, the Opera, Gallery Lafayette, the Marais (former Jewish Ghetto and now trendy downtown area), the Montmartre, Musee to Orsay, walked along the Champs Elyees and the Palace of Versaille.  But these sights are besides the point, the point is walking on the cobble stone streets, listening to the language and taking in the beautiful architecture.

Not only that, the food was incredible.  The baguettes and pastries are mouth watering.  Crepes? Mmmmm.  We even got to go to Darjeeling, a well known kosher Indian style restaurant.

Los Angeles – Laguna Beach

Last month I was lucky enough to get out to Los Angeles for a couple of sessions.  This time I scheduled a day of relaxation and took a drive to Laguna Beach for the day with my aunt, Feige.  We took in the galleries, the sound of the ocean and the scenery.

Israel

It’s been over 2 weeks that I’m back and I’ve jumped right back into work, non stop.  Before I post some fun photos from some recent sessions I want to share a couple more photo collages from my Israel trip.  Bat Ayin is a beautiful oasis just at the edge of Jerusalem, graffiti in and around Jerusalem, Eilat, Jeeping, it was all a dream come true.  Of course visiting the Military base was very special, the soldiers were so appreciative of our support.

Jerusalem

I scheduled a couple of photo sessions while here in Jerusalem.  These adorable kids were visiting from NY.  We met in the Old City and used the arches and narrow streets as a backdrop.

Family Time – Israel 2010

We’ve been dreaming this trip for a while – we planned, researched and asked anyone who would give me the time of day for ideas and suggestions.  Now that we’ve been here over 2 weeks I can say that the experience has been beyond our wildest dreams.  Our apartment was rented via www.myjerusalemapartments.com and we uploaded the Israel map onto our GPS and at this point I can say we have been from tip to tip, from the border of Egypt in the South -Eilat to the border of Lebonon in the north- Galil.  Shopping at the shuk, walking the tunnels, dipping our toes into the waters, we are truly living & breathing Israel.  At one very scary moment, we drove through the Negev – desert, over one hour up and down the edges of the desert mountains, not a car insight until a group of military jeeps arrive head-on speeding down towards us – the only time our GPS led us wrong, but now we can say we have a new respect for the desert too.

Until next time –

Shalom!
